Alpha B. Waters, age 84 of Dundee, Florida passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Haines City Health Care from heart failure.

Mrs. Waters was born August 4, 1927 in Guntersville, Alabama, daughter of Mitchell and Ida (Elliott) Patterson. She moved to Dundee 60 years ago. She worked as a fruit grader for Dundee Citrus and was a member of the Dundee Assembly of God Church.

Survivors are her son, Jerry Waters of Lake Hamilton, FL; daughter, Carolyn Stripling of Winter Haven, FL; adopted daughter, Judy Bridges of Lake City, FL; sister, Marie Harrison, Alabama; four grandchildren, Susanne, Jeremy, Daniel and David; and four great-grandchildren, Katie, TJ, Landon and Colton.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 20, at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, FL. The family will receive friends at Grant Memorial Chapel Thursday, December 22, 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Panquin Cemetery, 11:00 a.m. with James Harrison officiating.
