Mrs. Esther B Cooper, age 90, passed away Monday, July 25,
2011. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 27, 11:00
a.m., at Grant Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Free
Home Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jamie Atkinson, Clayton
Dunn, Easton Jones, Tanner Jones, Jake Kirkland and Ray
Weems. Honorary pallbearer is Dustin Paradise. The
family will receive friends Tuesday, July 26, 2011, 6:00 p.m. -
8:00 p.m.
Esther B was born in Alabama to Marvin E. and Idessa Clayton
Franks. She is survived by two sisters, Ruby Neil Kirkland
and husband J.W. and Nellie Jo Kirkland; nephews, Chris
Kirkland and wife Lori and Jamey Kirkland and wife Kim; nieces,
Linda Benton and husband Wade and Joannie Wood and husband Roger;
great-nephews, Jake Kirkland, Joshua Wood and Andrew Wood;
great-nieces, Elizabeth Kirkland, Alyisia Kirkland, Jessica
Kirkland, and Tonya Paradise; great-great-nephews, Ty McMullen,
Caleb Kirkland, Tanner Jones, and Easton Jones; and great-great
nieces, Caliyah Laughlin, Cassie Wood, Kylee Wood, Lauren Wood,
Erin Paradise, MacKinnley Paradise, Lyndzey Paradise, and Ashlynn
Paradise.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milford Cooper;
parents, Marvin and Idessa Franks; brother-in-law, Bud Kirkland,
and special friend, Mary Whitlock.
