Mr. Gordon Leon Patterson, Sr., age 88, of Grant, AL, died Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Shepherd’s Cove, Marshall County Hospice, Albertville, AL. Funeral services are Wednesday, March 9, 2011, 2:00 p.m., Grant Memorial Chapel, with Bro. David Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Brashier’s Chapel Cemetery, Arab, AL. Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 9, 2011, 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Grant Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Patterson is survived by his wife, Lela Ayers Patterson of Grant; 5 sons, Gordon L. Patterson, Jr., and wife Terry of Tazewell, TN, Tony Patterson and wife Denise of Gary, IN, Lewis Patterson of Grant, Dwayne Patterson and wife Mary of Grant and Stevie Dale Patterson of Birmingham; 3 daughters, Melissa Lee and husband Rick of Smyrna, TN, Pat Dargewich and husband Larry of Hammond, IN and Norma Lee and husband Carlie of Birmingham; 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Allie Lafarlett Patterson, 2 sons, Jessie and Ricky Patterson; and one grandson, SGT Nicky Lee.
