Jo Evelyn Cameron, age 60, of Swearengin, passed away at her
home on Monday, July 25, 2011. Funeral services will be held
Thursday, July 28, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Grant Memorial Chapel.
Bro. Charles Cornelison and Bro. Barry Birdsong officiating.
Interment will follow in New Prospect Cemetery. Pallbearers
are Tyler Black, Jake Mount, Leo Deerman, Jamie Knoblach, Cody
Williams, and Lee Deerman. Honorary pallbearer is Kyle
Chapman. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July
27, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Jo Evelyn was born in Alabama on November 9, 1950 to Leo and
Mary Lee Dobbins Deerman. She is survived by her husband,
James Robert Cameron of Scottsboro; sons, Dwight Cameron (Denise)
of Albertville, Jeff Cameron of Scottsboro, and Kippy Lynch
(Denise) of South Carolina; daughters, Teresa Chapman (Davy),
Annette York (Billy) and Susie Black (Robby) of Scottsboro, Dusty
Lynch of Mobile, AL, and Samantha Knoblach (Jamison) of
Albertville, AL; 16 grandchildren; brothers, Ronnie Deerman (Lisa)
of Albertville, Shannon Deerman of Guntersville, and Anthony
Deerman (Frida) of Horton; sister-in-law, Peggy Deerman of
Marlin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edwin
Deerman and Grayling Deerman; and sister, Patricia Cooper.
