Mr. Nolton Eugene Whitaker, age 74, died Monday, February 14, at his residence in Grant. Funeral services are Thursday, February 17, 2:00 p.m. at Grant Memorial Chapel with interment following in Preston Cemetery off Hwy 79. Bro. Oran Hayes and Bro. Anthony Barnes will officiate with assistance from pallbearers Thomas Guthrie, Justin Guthrie, Jerry Guthrie, Michael Chandler, Jeffrey Williams, and Tyler Williams. Family will receive friends, Wednesday, February 16, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Whitaker was born in Alabama to George Housten and Nettie Bell Whitaker. He is survived by his wife, Lily Sue Whitaker of Grant; son, Joey Whitaker of Grant; and a host of nieces and nephews.
