Mrs. Nora Dee Sutton, Age 88, of Grant, passed away at her home on Saturday, August 20, 2011. The family will receive friends at Grant Memorial Chapel Sunday, August 21, 2011, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The funeral service is Monday, August 22, 2011, 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Interment will follow in Free Home Cemetery. Rev. Melvin Dawson will officiate. Flowers will be accepted, however, the family suggests memorial donations to the Flat Rock Community Center, P. O. Box 235, Flat Rock, AL 35966.

Mrs. Sutton was born in Alabama to Charlie and Ellen Kirkland Cooper. She is survived by her son, James Warren Sutton and his wife Cindy of Flat Rock, AL; daughter, Paulette Sutton Gallahar of Jacksonville, AL; grandson, Christopher Jenkins and great-granddaughter, Ella Beth Jenkins of Gulf Shores, AL; brother, J. D. Cooper and wife Doris of Guntersville, AL; and sister, Rose Brooks of Grant, AL.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sutton; parents, Charlie and Ellen Cooper; grandson, Eric Barnett; son-in-law, Lanny Gallahar; brothers, Riley, Willie, Dock, Aaron, Leonard, Milburn, and Henry Cooper; and sisters, Flora Cooper and Zora B. Anderson.
