Mr. Milford Wayne Lackey, age 63, of Grant, AL, passed away
Thursday, September 8, at Huntsville Hospital. Funeral
services will be Sunday, September 11, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Grant
Memorial Chapel with interment following in Free Home
Cemetery. Bro. Marvin McCormick and Bro. Sherman Lackey will
officiate. Pallbearers are nephews Bro. Sherman Lackey,
Winfred Lackey, Larry Cameron, Ronnie Cameron, Darryl Cameron and
Jeff Cameron. Honorary pallbearers are Sam Lemaster, Dr. Olon C.
Tucker, and Vernon Whitaker. The family will receive friends
Saturday, September 10, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Lackey was born in Alabama to Robert Elray and Gladys
Winkles Lackey on October 6, 1947. He is survived by a
sister, Mary Louise Cameron and husband Wabon of Grant; brothers,
Fred Lackey and wife Mary Jo of Swearengin; god son Nick Farris of
Grant; and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
Mr. Lackey was preceded in death by his parents and a brother,
Junior Lackey.
