Mrs. Teresa Annette Hardin

Mrs. Teresa Annette Hardin, age 64 of the Swearengin Community entered into her eternal rest on Sunday, November 26, 2023 at Crestwood Medical Center surrounded by her family. Teresa was born in Jackson County, Alabama to John Lowe & Leona Anderton Sanderson on July 26, 1959. After attending KDS DAR High School, Teresa married Kelvin Hardin on November 28, 1979, spending just two days shy of 44 years together. Soon after, Teresa began her career as a loving mother to her two daughters, and later as the "Nana" to her five grandchildren. Her love for her family was second to none. She enjoyed spending time with all her family, but especially with her grandchildren. Family vacations were a must. Teresa’s caring and compassionate nature allowed her to be the ultimate caregiver to everyone and everything. When her girls got older, she gained two sons, not two sons-in-law and treated them just like her very own. She always put others before herself. When she wasn’t tending to the wants and needs of others, she was taking care of pets and plants. If spending time with her family was her career, being with others was her hobby. She enjoyed being with people, especially her church family. Teresa dedicated her life to the Lord and received her salvation in 1981 and was a faithful member of the Oak Grove Holiness Church for many years. When she did make time for herself, she could usually be found on the front porch with her cup of coffee. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Kelvin Hardin; her daughters, Brandi Ware (Michael) and Kendra Stapler (Andy); her grandchildren, Grace Ware, Landon Ware, Lillie Stapler, Jack Stapler, and Easton Ware; her sisters, Shirley Stapler (Bill), Mary Lou Mason, and Juanita Allen (Bernard); many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, I.H. Sanderson. Visitation will be held at Grant Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 from 5-8 p.m. She will lie-in-state at the Oak Grove Holiness Church on Thursday, November 29, 2023 beginning at 12 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Officiating will be Bro. Alton Willmon, Bro. Nicky Willmon, and Bro. Royce Cornelison. Burial will follow in the Gunter Mountain Memory Garden. Arrangements Entrusted to Grant Memorial Chapel
