Mr. Marty Wayne Guffey

Marty Wayne Guffey, Age 44, of Grant, passed away Thursday afternoon in Jackson County. Visitation for Mr. Marty Guffey will be held on Saturday, September 5,2015 from 6-8:00PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 2:00PM at the funeral home with Bro. Anthony Barnes officiating. Interment will be at Old Prospect Cemetery. Mr. Guffey is survived by his parents, Bobby and MaryAnn Whitaker Guffey of Grant; his sons, Dylan Wayne Guffey and Bobby Shane Guffey , also of Grant; his grandmother, Nellie Grace Guffey. Sister; Samantha (Jeff) Lemley , of Grant and Jenny Corbin Guffey, Mother of their children, an uncle, Robert Whitaker, Jr. Mr. Guffey is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ethel Collie Whitaker, 2 grandfathers; Robert Whitaker and McKinley Guffey. Mr. Guffey was a member of Pine Island Baptist Church. He loved riding his motorcycle, hunting and fishing but mostly spending time with his boys.
