Mr. Wade Jackson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Sherman Wade Jackson, age 69 passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at his home in the Swearengin community. Wade was born on March 16, 1952 to Sherman & Louise Derrick Jackson in Marshall County. Wade was a jack of all trades and had an uncanny knowledge of old country music and classic cars. Wade took a hobby of mussel diving and made a career out of it for many years. He was a longtime member of Oak Grove Holiness Church where he was known for his testimonies and “his song.” But probably more than anything, Wade will be remembered most for his love for his family. He was the husband to Ruby Embry Jackson; the father to Shannon Wade Jackson (Tasha) and Tonia Jackson Willmon (Tracy); a granddad and “GranGran” to his grandchildren, Rese Jackson, Kelsy Jackson Gore (Cody), Wyatt Sutphin, Natalee Jackson, Karson Jackson, Briley Willmon, and Westen Gage Willmon; and to his two great grandchildren, Greyson Wade Gore and Tripp Gore; a brother to Angie “Sally” Stapler, Gearldine Brewer (Wayne), and Rhonda Ware (Bud); a brother-in-law to Dub Embry (Margo); an uncle to many nieces and nephews; and special friend to so so many. Wade was preceded in death by his son, Barney Jackson; and his two brothers, James Jackson and Billy Jackson; and his parents. Visitation will be Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Grant Memorial Chapel from 6-8 p.m. He will lie-in-state at Oak Grove Holiness Church on Monday, January 17, 2022 from 1-2 p.m. A service celebrating his life will follow at 2 p.m. with Bro. Alton Willmon and Bro. Nicky Willmon officiating. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery. Arrangements Entrusted to Grant Memorial Chapel
