Mr. Tyler Winston

It is with deep sadness that the family of Steven Tyler Winston of Grant, AL, announce his passing on January 5, 2024, at the age of 25. Tyler was born September 25th, 1998, in Guntersville. He was preceded in death by grandmother Edna Stapler, grandparents James (Ann) Winston. Tyler is survived by his parents, Steven and Patricia Winston of Grant, fiancé Sarah Elizabeth Bradshaw, grandparents Bill (Shirley) Stapler, Aunts Gina (Joel) Bevel, Lois Troup, Tammy (Mike) Stadelman, Uncle Bill (Joan) Stapler and many loving cousins and friends. He was a dog dad to the happiest little fur babies, Brooks, and Ella. Tyler enjoyed an adventurous life growing up in his father’s shop (Spinout) working on four wheelers which developed into a hobby of drag racing. Tyler attended KDS DAR and graduated in 2017. He was a member of the DAR high school golf team which grew into a love for golfing. After graduating, Tyler started his own landscaping company which served the Grant community. Tyler loved hunting, fishing, and ATV rides at Coalmont and Indian Mountain. He lived life to the fullest and found joy in his adventures with friends and family, all of whom were an important part of his life. Tyler’s “boys” were like brothers to him. Tyler also enjoyed cooking and making home-cooked meals for his family, particularly a seafood boil. A very special person in Tyler’s life was his fiancé Sarah, who he met in 2018. He and Sarah had spent the last 6 years vacationing, exploring mountains and beaches. Tyler proposed to Sarah in July 2023 and their upcoming wedding and honeymoon had been planned for 2024. Tyler was tremendously compassionate. He was a calming influence for many. His smile was contagious, and his presence would light up a room. He has impacted many lives for good. Visitation with family and friends will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 5-8 pm at Grant Memorial Chapel, 4930 Main St, Grant, AL. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Walker Cemetery in the Hebron Community. Pallbearers are Josh Troup, Jason Davis, Jeremy Davis, Joseph Davis, Joe Pace, Jonathan Beck, Nathan Johnsen and Josh Thrasher. Honorary pallbearers are Hunter Nickell, Braden Nickell, Noah Burns, Stacey Nickell, Wesley Hohn, Carl Beck, Ray Stapler, and Tony Denton. The family requests all donations be made to the Tyler Winston memorial fund located at First State Bank in Grant, AL.
